When I started to build up my self esteem, I began to notice a lot of things about myself that surprised me a bit. I looked people in the eye much more when I spoke to them. My posture changed to standing taller and walking with my head held much more upright. I smiled more, too. In fact, people would often comment that I always had at least the remnant of a smile on my face. It seems when we feel good about ourselves from building up self esteem, other people feel better about us, too.
